In 1990, he played the role of Yi Yusheng in "The End Note" and tried to disguise himself as a woman for the first time. In 1993, he began filming TV series and collaborated with Faye Wong on "Thousand Years Old Lover". In the same year, he played Wang Zuxian's cousin Bigfoot in the movie "City Hunter".
