France, a country famous for its art, must be a dream place for many art students, among which France has produced many musicians who have influenced the world. Although, on the whole, there are relatively few students from China who come to France to study music, I still want to tell you what I know and let you know about it.

First of all, after studying abroad, it depends on what diploma you get. In this respect, students who are going to study music in France may be hit a little, because there are only two conservatories recognized by the Ministry of Education of China: the Paris National Conservatory of Music and the Lyon National Conservatory of Music. However, these two conservatories only recruit a small number of foreigners on a global scale every year (piano, for example, recruits three international students every year). I wonder if this is the reason. It is generally believed in the piano field that masters gather in the United States, Germany and France, and it seems that their competitiveness is not enough.

ECOLE NORMALE DE MUSIQUE, which is the place where most China students choose to enroll, has quite simple admission requirements, that is, a performance sample of about 65,438+00 minutes, a letter of motivation, an application fee of 300 euros (if they enroll, it will be part of the tuition fee), and no other GPA and recommendation letters are needed. This school is a private school, but it is also the only school that China students can apply for (because other conservatories have to take exams in person), so many China students use this school as a springboard. First, they came to France, studied in this school for one year, and then transferred to other national conservatories of music. ENM is famous for its difficult exams, and about 2% students can pass the exams every year. However, it must be clear that those who fail the exam must have the best grades, because we all know that there are many uncertain factors in the music exam, which is why this conservatory is famous for its exams. At the end of each year, many good students and tutors go to the teaching director for theory. Why can another poor student pass? In addition, this conservatory implements a grading system. Specifically, after you come to France, you should have an interview before you enter school. Most students in China will be divided into three grades, or four grades a year (a total of six grades), but it is difficult to pass each grade, as mentioned earlier.

Finally, if you graduated from Beijing University, come to this conservatory of music. If you are assigned to the fifth grade, you will have to study chamber music and sight-reading. Below level 5, you don't need to use anything except instrumental music (that is, the main extracurricular of the instruments you have studied) (in other words, you only need to take classes once a week).

Studying in this conservatory of music, I think the most important thing is to have money. China students will only stay for two or three years, while many Japanese and Korean students will stay for seven or eight years. Besides, there are too many Asian students in this conservatory (most of them are Japanese and Korean students), which leads some China students to study in France for three years, but they don't speak French very well, and after three years, they don't have any local friends in France.

In Paris, in addition to the above-mentioned conservatories, there are also some private conservatories, such as Paris International Conservatory of Music, Rachmaninov Conservatory of Music and La Quintrie Umm Conservatory of Music. . . . . . It's not that these conservatories are not good, but that their diplomas are very problematic, because they are not recognized by the Ministry of Education of China, so even if they get diplomas, they can only fool others, or have a psychological comfort. In addition, because it is a private school, the tuition fees must be insanely expensive! !

Ok, let's talk about the French National Conservatory of Music.

The current National Conservatory of Music (CNR) is different from the Paris Higher National Conservatory of Music I mentioned above. The present country is a country that all provinces have (for example, the Paris advanced country is equivalent to the Central Conservatory of Music in China, and the present country is equivalent to Shangyin and Chuanyin. . . )。 It is sad to see the enrollment of some French National Conservatory of Music (CNR) and intermediaries in TIG-TAG this year, because the DEM diplomas graduated from these conservatories are equivalent to master's degrees, which is a complete waste. As mentioned above, China still does not recognize the so-called DEM diploma.

CNR generally has strict restrictions on the age of admission, generally 22 or 23 (I think this is why experts go to Germany and the United States). Generally, graduates from Huada University take part in the 3EME cycle, which means that the diploma they get after completing this cycle is DEM. CNR has many courses. As long as you can be admitted, you must take courses such as chamber music and sight-reading. , but you must take the exam in person. You can't send samples of playing recordings.

There are also regional conservatories in Paris (basically all 20 districts have conservatories, but they are similar to domestic training centers, or to put it mildly, conservatories).

In addition, there is a more important point. All the above conservatories (except for the high national strength in Paris) don't have a piano room where China calls on students to practice (you can rent or buy a piano when you come, but you can do it yourself), and you can't guarantee housing (you have to find it yourself). But it is extremely difficult to find a house where you can practice the piano in Paris (unless you are willing to rent it for a month 1000E). In my personal experience, I moved five times last year (all because of practicing piano), and occasionally my classmates moved eight times a year (also because of practicing piano).

Having said that, for students who want to study music in France, I can give advice that they can consider coming to France for further study in the following three situations:

(1) I already have a stable job in China, so I don't have to worry about the graduation certificate.

(2) There is a lot of money to support at home.

(3) He is so hungry for music that he can be admitted to the National Institute of Higher Education in Paris.
