The music of Yunnan Yuanxiao is very rich, and some of the existing Yuanxiao tunes are minor tunes since the Ming and Qing Dynasties, such as hanging branches, playing dates, breaking bridges, Yu Meiren, Yinniu Temple and so on.

It is the main source of Yunnan lantern music to focus on the local area of the province and absorb some folk songs from other provinces appropriately.
