The melodies of these two songs are very similar, and the modes are commercial. A lyrical Yunnan folk song has evolved into a dancing Yunnan light tune after being processed and polished by countless unknown folk artists.
Selection of Lantern Song and Dance "Youchun": The melody of "Picking Flowers" sung by my father and granddaughter is similar to the above two songs, but more like dancing. "Flower Picking Tune" has a flexible rhythm and a square music structure, which is closely combined with the dynamic rhythm of dance "outside" and is a good tune for "outside" training.
Some folk songs of other provinces have also been absorbed and integrated into the Lantern Tune, but the Lantern Tune is a combination of local language and folk music, which makes the folk songs of other provinces in Yunnan. Since the founding of the People's Republic of China, musicians have created some songs and dances of Yunnan Lantern Festival, such as "Ten Thousand Red Lights", "Youchun", "Top Ten Sisters", "Tea Mountain" and "Flower Fancy".
The music structure of Yunnan Lantern is short, and it is mostly a single paragraph composed of upper and lower sentences or four phrases. Music has a clear rhythm and strong fluidity, and there are few big pauses between phrases. Most of them start with "board" and end with "eye". The beat is mostly 2/4 or 4/4, and the 3/4 beat is rare. The speed is generally medium or allegro, and the mood is bright, lively, natural and unrestrained, and the melody is beautiful.
The modes of Yunnan Lantern Music are mostly demand mode and feathering mode, followed by court mode and commercial mode. Mainly pentatonic music.
Accompanying instruments of Yunnan Lantern are Huqin, Yueqin, Sanxian, flute and so on. Later, national musical instruments such as pipa and dulcimer were added, and some national musical instruments were used in some places.
