There is a memorial pavilion on the pine forest hill in the compound of China Aerodynamics Center, which is engraved with three Chinese characters inscribed by General Zhang Aiping-"Yonghuai Pavilion".

In memory of Guo Yonghuai, one of the founders of China University of Science and Technology, a large-scale multimedia musical "Love in the Sky", written and directed by Yu Boyang and starring Professor Song Huaiqiang, was created by various organizations of the University of Science and Technology of China for five years. It premiered in HKUST on 201215, and has been performed for more than ten times in various places. Lao Guo's wife, Mr. Li Pei, specially presented a flower basket for the premiere and attended the performance in person.
