Introducing some basic information about me. I was born in 1995, majoring in musicology. In my senior year, my grade ranking was No. 1 in the whole grade. 1. I graduated as an outstanding graduate and majored in music education. I am currently studying at the School of Music and Dance of the Central Conservatory of Music.

1. School selection and preparation

Which one should I take? This question bothered me for nearly a week. Later, out of professional considerations for music education, I chose the Central Conservatory of Music.

School Introduction: In September 1956, the Central Conservatory of Music took the lead in establishing the Musicology Department among music and art colleges nationwide. After nearly 60 years of hard work, the Department of Music has formed a relatively complete teaching system and relatively strong academic strength in subject construction. The Department of Music currently has 24 professors (including 2 foreign distinguished professors) and 8 associate professors; 26 doctoral supervisors (including 4 external doctoral supervisors), 45 master's student supervisors (including doctoral supervisors); and There are 4 lecturers, 1 teaching assistant and 4 external teachers. In 2015, there were 275 students in the Department of Music, including 80 undergraduates majoring in musicology, 27 majoring in art management, and 28 majoring in music therapy; 90 master's degree students and 50 doctoral students.

The Department of Music currently has seven professional directions: Chinese music history, Chinese traditional music theory, Western music history, music aesthetics, world ethnic music theory, music art management, and music therapy. It has an ethnic music laboratory, Multimedia studio, World Music Performance Practice Center, European Early Music Center, Music Aesthetics Research Center, Music Psychology Research Laboratory, and a certified classroom of the Central Conservatory of Music’s Distance Education School. The total number of courses offered by various majors has exceeded 80. Among these theoretical courses, many are the only ones offered in China. All main courses (including Chinese traditional music, Chinese music history, Western music history, world ethnic music, and music aesthetics) have self-compiled teaching materials and modern teaching capabilities by teachers in our department. Since the establishment of the department, teachers in the Department of Music have published more than 10,000 monographs, textbooks and papers. Many research results have filled the gaps in the construction of musicology disciplines at home and abroad, and have been adopted by many domestic and overseas universities.

After I chose my major and school in March, I went to the official website of the Graduate School of the Central Conservatory of Music to search for reference books for the postgraduate entrance examination. The two professional courses have a total of one to six books. After I bought the books, I haven't opened them yet. I just put them all together and it gave me a headache. However, I have read a lot of extracurricular books in the past four years of college, and I also had a passionate relationship with the teacher on Chinese and Western music history. Plus, I am a liberal arts guy, so I bit the bullet. . . Before I even turned the first page, I made a call to a senior who was already here and asked how to prepare for professional courses. Thank you for this call! It saved me a lot of detours. My seniors helped me a lot, told me a lot of pitfalls and learning methods, and shared with me a video of the postgraduate entrance examination in Chinese and Western music history (this will never be out of date). From that day on, I took it seriously. sitting in the school study room, watching videos. . . Because I read it day and night, I quickly finished reading music from ancient Greece to the 20th century, from ancient times to modern China. I bought a fruit basket and took a car to the teacher's house. I explained my current situation to the teacher seriously. After two weeks, my legs and feet were stretched. My brain is also more enriched, and of course my notes are no longer so superficial. The books I buy are also full of horizontal lines and notes. I already have a framework and part of the content of the history of Chinese and Western music in my mind. I used a few pieces of A3 paper to make a list of musicians from ancient times to modern times, their artistic achievements, and their eras. Look at the table every day, hoping that one day you can look at the table and think of the knowledge points in the book.

Just now is the history of Chinese and Western music that I prepared in March. My major 2 has too much content and I have less knowledge stored before, so I signed up for the class.

2. Preliminary exam review

Politics:

My first year of preparation for the political exam started in August with Mr. Xu Tao’s online class. Taotao really The lecture is very good, haha. I read one or two chapters of Taotao’s intensive online course every day.

After reading it, do the 1,000 questions from the corresponding chapters of Xiao Da Da. You can do both single-choice and multiple-choice questions. There was a timely consolidation. After the intensive class, probably between September and October, I read the political book (Xu Tao's core test) twice by myself, and sorted out the wrong questions among the 1,000 questions twice.

Starting from October, I will follow Taotao’s question-writing class to start writing questions. The question-writing class is very important! Very important! Very important! There are some answering techniques and methods that allow us to answer questions quickly and accurately. I did the multiple-choice questions in the eight sets of papers of Xiao Ba and Xu Tao once each, and read the wrong questions again.

In the last week, I started to study the real questions from the postgraduate entrance examination library and train my ability to solve the questions. After that, I started to memorize the four figures and accompany them to the examination room. For the political part, many teachers and I believe that if you want to score higher, you should work hard on details. Many multiple-choice questions test details. If you master the multiple-choice questions, your political score will not be low.

English:

You should start reviewing English as early as possible. During the winter vacation, you should focus on memorizing words and clarifying grammar to lay a solid foundation. I recommend Lian Lian You Ci to memorize words efficiently. It's a lot, and you need to memorize some example sentences and analyze grammar. After more than a month, you will obviously improve a lot, and you can also lay a good foundation for reading and other questions later.

The review of words should be repeated until the last moment before the postgraduate entrance examination; you can slowly start reading around the summer vacation, and it is enough to brush up on the past papers. You don’t need to ask for a lot of questions at the beginning. It’s enough to understand one article in one day. It doesn’t mean that you get the answers right. You need to read the real questions intensively, sort out long and difficult sentences, and analyze and recite one or two sentences every day. When doing postgraduate entrance examination reading, you must read sentences intensively, understand the logic, read a paragraph and answer a question. My reading class is with teachers Tang Chi and Li Xu, which is much more efficient than doing it by myself;

Writing Me I am following the class of Teacher Wang Jiangtao. In the early stage, I can memorize some phrases and long and difficult sentences and slowly accumulate materials. In the later stage, I can write according to paragraphs. And it is very important for the writing part to be neat and beautiful.

The teacher corrects the papers very quickly. You can buy copybooks to practice calligraphy. I practice italics. It basically works after two weeks of practice. Whether it is analysis reports or analysis notation methods, each school may be slightly different, so it is most effective to go directly to them for guidance. It’s not easy to take detours. I was just doing the questions, and the teacher explained the questions to see where the analysis was not good enough, and guided me on how to write a specific analysis report. In the first year, I laid a solid foundation under the guidance of my senior sister, but maybe the specific content of the analysis report did not meet the requirements, so my score was low. In the second year, under the guidance of the teacher, I improved a lot in professional courses and achieved a Not a bad score. The substantial progress in professional courses enabled me to pass the first test smoothly.

The entire review process can be divided into three strategies:

3. Exam experience

The seniors all told me to go to bed early the day before the exam, but I couldn’t sleep. Knowing what time it was, my biological clock woke me up before the alarm clock went off the next day. I put on my clothes, took out big political topics, and went over them in my mind. Although I didn't sleep for a few hours at night, I was still full of energy the next day because of my excitement. After finishing the exam in the morning, I had a meal and slept for a while. When I woke up, I took out the English composition and wrote both the major and minor essays. Go through it again. The English test was finished at five o'clock in the afternoon, and I went back to school with my classmates.

Not tired at the end of the day, this is the power of the postgraduate entrance examination. In the evening, I randomly checked my recitation of professional courses with my classmates, and took out the wrong answers to the previous exams all night long.

The time for taking professional courses on the second day is more relaxed than that of public courses on the first day. After completing the questions, you have time to check them again. Re-examination: After the second day, I felt relaxed and breathed a long sigh of relief. The first test ended here. After the test, I could be described as a headless fly. During this period, many of my classmates were already looking for jobs, and some even signed contracts with companies. And I kept reading and waiting. Each region and each school publishes the results at a different time for the preliminary examination. Yunnan Normal University announced the results on the fifth day of the next year. I successfully passed and entered the re-examination. The re-examination is in March and there are still a few weeks to go. Preparation time, because we need piano accompaniment, so we go to the school piano room every day to find classmates and accompanists. The exam day went relatively smoothly, because the time was not very tight, and the preparations were relatively sufficient, so my performance was considered normal. However, When the teacher asked questions, my palms were still sweating nervously...
