A brief introduction to Du Mingxin's life
Du Mingxin (1928 ~) male, Han nationality, composer, from Qianjiang, Hubei. From 65438 to 0939, he was selected by Tao Xingzhi from kindergarten and sent to Chongqing Yucai School to study music. Under the guidance of He Lvting, Ren Guang and Fan Jisen, he studied basic music knowledge such as piano and violin, and wrote the satirical song "Salary is a Clown", which played a role in the democratic movement in the Kuomintang-controlled areas at that time. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, he went to Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory of Music to study composition, and after returning to China, he taught in the Composition Department of the Central Conservatory of Music. His works are mainly instrumental music, including ballet The Mermaid and The Red Female Soldier (both in collaboration with Wu Zuqiang), symphonic poem Fly, Flag, symphonic picture The South China Sea and Youth Symphony. In addition, he also created some movie music and brass music. His creation pays attention to the color of orchestration and has rich harmony techniques.
