However, for me, this feeling does not seem to be so obvious, because I have a wide range of interests, including stamp collecting, music, photography, travel, fishing, table tennis, etc. Among them, stamp collecting is a hobby I have cultivated since I was a student. After I retired, I felt like a fish in water. I no longer had the pressure of work. I could devote myself wholeheartedly to my hobby, wander in the ocean of philately, and enjoy the multiple pleasures of knowledge and art from philately.
Stamps are called "mini encyclopedias", "national business cards" and "treasure houses of exquisite art". These titles and praises for stamps can be said to be most appropriate and not exaggerated in the slightest. The design and printing of stamps represent a country's highest level in this field. Through the small window of stamps, people and events of great significance in the country or the world are displayed, including scenic spots, historical relics, culture and art, animals and plants, economic construction, politics and military, customs, etc. The themes of stamps are all-encompassing, and the patterns of stamps The exquisite design, like a miniature work of art, has attracted the pursuit of countless enthusiasts.
Stamp collecting focuses on discussion and research, in order to learn countless knowledge from it. Buying stamps and putting them in a drawer cannot be called stamp collecting. In the early 1990s, I began to try to organize stamp collections and participate in stamp exhibitions held in this city. After quitting my job, I no longer have the pressure of work and have enough time to devote myself wholeheartedly to my hobby of stamp collecting. In order to compile a stamp album, extensive research is required. For this purpose, I purchased a computer, subscribed to a variety of philatelic magazines, read useful information from the Internet, purchased stamp products, communicated with philatelic enthusiasts from all over the world, learned philatelic knowledge, visited stamp exhibitions, and went out to visit national and world stamp exhibitions at my own expense. , broaden your horizons, continuously accumulate stamp knowledge, and lay a solid foundation for organizing stamp collections. Over the past few years, I have successfully compiled several stamp collections, representing Hanjiang Group, Shiyan City, and Danjiangkou City, and participated in the first and second stamp exhibitions held by the Ministry of Water Resources in Zhuzhou and Tianjin, Hunan; the first Hubei Provincial Elderly Stamp Exhibition; the 3rd National Extreme Philatelic Exhibition held in Guangzhou; the 2nd National One-frame Philatelic Exhibition held in Jinan, Shandong Province; participated in provincial philatelic exhibitions in Hubei Province for many times; participated in the first national online philatelic exhibition in 2006, All achieved good results and won honors for Hanjiang Group, Shiyan City and Danjiangkou City.
In 2002, I was invited by the National Water Conservancy Philatelic Association to go to Beijing to participate in the design of the commemorative stamp album of the "China South-to-North Water Diversion". The commemorative album, with its rich stamps and detailed and precious picture materials, publicizes the world-famous grand South-to-North Water Diversion Project to the world. It has become a precious gift for foreign affairs and contributed a small amount to the promotion of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project.
Assembling a stamp album is a process of continuous thinking and learning. From the production of the appearance, the use and processing of philatelic materials, to the full expression of the knowledge and importance of philatelic works, you need to use your brain diligently, consult a large amount of information and professional knowledge, consult fellow philatelic friends, communicate with each other, and use the experience of going out to Opportunities or online purchase of stamps needed to supplement the collection. This requires making friends among friends and communicating with each other. Over the years, through correspondence and online exchanges, I have made friends with a large number of fellow stamp collectors at home and abroad, which has greatly enriched my collection. The postal friendship was enhanced in the mutual exchanges.
After taking a back seat, in addition to organizing stamp collections, I contributed my experiences in philatelic activities, understanding of philately, philatelic affairs, and philatelic news reports to various philatelic magazines. Over the past few years, more than 100 manuscripts have been adopted by more than a dozen newspapers and magazines. I further improved my postage knowledge and writing skills through writing articles, and also derived great pleasure from seeing the tofu cube articles in various newspapers and periodicals.
Although stamp collecting is a beneficial hobby that keeps people busy all day long, by making stamp albums and writing articles, both hands and brain are used, which invisibly achieves the effects of nourishing the mood, nourishing the mind, and strengthening the brain.
