I have used all the mainstream metronomes on the market, so let me talk about my experience.
The most popular traditional mechanical metronome is NIKKO, but there are too many fakes on the market. Almost all of them are imitations on Taobao, and there are no formal channels, no licensed products, and no after-sales service.
I recommend the metronome of SEIKO, which is also made by Nissan. Seiko makes watches, so the mechanical movement will definitely be more accurate. The price is similar to the original Nikko. It is licensed and comes with after-sales and warranty.
Electronic metronomes are not as stylish as mechanical ones, but they are easy to use. Domestic ones that cost tens of yuan are not recommended. They are of poor quality and difficult to use. They break after no use. The foreign brands are Wittner and Seiko, but in comparison you will find that Seiko is much easier to use... My friend bought it more than ten years ago and it is still not broken. At that time, it was not licensed and only parallel imports. It has only become popular in recent years. Specifically, I recommend the SQ70 with quartz movement. Currently, nothing is more accurate than a quartz watch. This model is used by many musicians, so many people follow suit and buy the same model. If it's too expensive, you can buy its simplified version SQ50 or SQ60, which lacks a few functions.
