In 1996, Luantan Axiang founded the "Luantan" band, serving as the band's lead singer and guitarist, and responsible for songwriting and lyrics.

In 1997, Luantan Band won the top ten singles of the year by the Chinese Musicians Exchange Association with the song "Conscience".

In 1998, they won the honor of Best Singing Group at the 9th Golden Melody Awards for their award-winning work "Hope".

In 2000, Luantan Band won the Best Vocal Group in the Pop Category at the 11th Golden Melody Awards. The album "Luan Dan" released was awarded the top ten Chinese albums of the year by China Times. However, Luantan Band soon disbanded, and Luantan Axiang began to live a drifting life in Beijing.

On November 1, 2002, the first solo album "A Gust of Wind" was released.

On August 10, 2004, he released his first solo Taiwanese album "Recent Me" through the "Barefoot Not Hot" record company. On December 17, "Unplugged: 2003 Barefoot Tour Complete Record" was released. Includes a CD of tour recordings, a video DVD, and a CD of unreleased studio music. In the same year, he guest-starred as a police officer in the public TV drama show "East End", and participated in the performance of "Salty Soy Milk II", composing and singing the theme song "Lovers" for the film.

In 2005, he participated in the "2005 MIDEM International Recording Professional Exhibition in Cannes, France". In the same year, he provided the soundtrack for Elva Hsiao’s jeans endorsement (IBS) commercial.

In January 2007, Luantan Axiang, Zhao Siran, and Gou Mao held a dynamic relay folk concert in Beijing. In the same year, he was invited to perform at the "Olympic Theme Song Charity Concert" in Shanghai.

In 2008, he produced the opening and closing interludes for "Maltese on the Scale", and also acted as music producer and singer.

On July 3, 2010, he was invited to participate in Wanfang's 100-tour "Loose Concert" and sang the song "Loneliness" with Wanfang ***.

In 2011, he starred in the movie "Roll!" starring Peng Yuyan, Ke Yulun, Lin Chenxi, and Chen Handian. In May 2014, Luantan Axiang went to Hong Kong to be a guest at two "Just Rock It" charity concerts on May 26th and 27th, singing "I Love You Hopeless" with Axin. In July, Luantan Axiang participated in Taiwan's TV talk entertainment program "Kangxi Is Coming". On September 25, art director Xu Yuting invited Luan Tan Axiang to create the opening song "Gone" for the TV series "Sister" and the eight major idol dramas "Sister".
