Tibetan opera concentrates on Tibetan classical literature, music, dance, performance, art and other artistic means. It occupies an important position in the history of Chinese drama and literature, especially in the history of minority drama and literature. At the beginning of the formation of Tibetan opera, it was a square opera, with only one drum, one cymbal and one big horn. When the characters go up and down, they are accompanied by drums and cymbals, and most of them are solo by one person, and everyone sings together. In performance, Tibetan opera has six skills: singing, dancing, rhyme, white, technique and expression. No matter where you can make achievements, you pay attention to stability and elegance; Voice is set by the role. Except for clowns, anti-angle vocals and dance music, the vocals of every character in every play are generally not borrowed casually. Singing is mostly taken from folk songs and rap music, which has the characteristics of couplets and distinctive local colors. Music melody is simple, rough and vigorous, with many decorative coloratura, cadence and slow rhythm.
There are many Tibetan operas, the most famous of which are Princess Wencheng, Prince Lausanne, Langsha Wenbo, Zhuowasam, Dunyue Dunzhu, Wisdom and Beauty, Sunima, Baima Wenba and other traditional operas, which are collectively called "Eight Tibetan operas". These plays are based on historical stories, folklore, Buddhist stories and secular human feelings; Strong story and strong national color.
