At that time, Guanshiyin Bodhisattva was in the first level, and upon hearing this mantra, he transcended the eighth level. The Bodhisattva who is filled with the joy of Dharma makes a vow to be born with a thousand hands and a thousand eyes for the benefit of all sentient beings. After making the vow, he will immediately have a thousand hands and a thousand eyes.

The earth in the ten directions was shaken by it, and the Buddhas in the ten directions shone light for it. Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva later heard this mantra again at the Wuliang Buddha Assembly and personally upheld it. Even after countless millions of kalpas of life and death, I still recite it and never forget it. Because I uphold this mantra, I always appear in front of the Buddha as a lotus.
