1. Overview of the school

Nanjing Art Institute is a century-old school with a long history and profound foundation. As the earliest independent art institution in China and continues to this day, Nanjing Art Institute is a university established by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the People's Government of Jiangsu Province, and it is a high-level university construction peak plan in Jiangsu Province.

II. College Settings

The school now has 14 secondary colleges, including Academy of Fine Arts, Conservatory of Music, School of Design, School of Film and Television, School of Dance, School of Media, School of Pop Music, School of Industrial Design, School of Humanities, School of Cultural Industry, College of Higher Vocational Education, College of Adult Education, College of International Education and College of Marxism.

III. Faculty

At present, the school has more than 12, students, more than 1,14 faculty members, more than 8 full-time teachers, more than 34 full-time teachers with senior titles, more than 6 doctoral tutors, more than 2 master tutors, and employs more than 1 visiting professors and part-time professors at home and abroad.

IV. Discipline Construction

The school is the only institution of higher learning in China that has the right to award doctoral degrees and post-doctoral research stations in all five first-level disciplines under the discipline of art. In the fourth round of discipline evaluation of the Ministry of Education in 217, all five first-level disciplines ranked among the top six. Among them, fine arts was awarded A- level, music and dance, design were awarded A-level, drama and film and television, art theory was awarded B+ level; Four disciplines ranked first in the province.
