Basic functions of sound card

Sound card is the most basic part of multimedia technology, and it is a kind of hardware to realize the conversion between sound wave and digital signal. The basic function of sound card is to convert the original sound signals of microphone, magnetic tape and CD-ROM drive, and output them to headphones, speakers, power amplifiers, tape recorders and other audio devices, or make musical instruments make beautiful sounds through MIDI.

External sound card and internal sound card

Sound cards are divided into external sound cards and internal sound cards. An external sound card has no driver, but it usually has a control panel, which is not called a driver. The built-in sound card has a driver. The external sound card is connected to a computer or mobile phone with a data cable, which can be used in simple mode. The built-in sound card must be installed in the card slot in the chassis before it can be used. Some computers cannot be used without the card slot. The effects are diverse and the models are complex.

Connection method of audio cable

First, insert the live cable into the live hole of the sound card, and the other end is connected with the mobile phone, or use the standard audio cable with switch to connect the live phone with the sound card, and the end close to the switch is connected with the earphone hole of the mobile phone. Then, insert the accompaniment cord and headphone cord into the corresponding opening of the sound card. One end of the audio cable is connected to the earphone hole of the accompaniment equipment, and the other end is connected to the "accompaniment" jack of the sound card.
