The School of Music and Dance of Huaqiao University is headed by the famous Chinese mezzo-soprano Liang Ning as the dean, and the artist Mr. Yang Hongji is the honorary dean.

There are currently 32 full-time teachers, including 5 professors and 5 associate professors. Most of the teachers have a doctorate or master's degree, and about 1/3 of the teachers are returnees. National first-class actors Huang Doudou and Zheng Yong, singer Liu Yanyan, erhu player Yang Jiqiang, composer Guo Zurong, and China's first music postdoctoral fellow Liu Xiaojing serve as part-time professors in the college.
