Jinshan branch line ("×" is the passenger station operated on the reconstructed Jinshan branch line) is a regional railway in Shanghai. It starts from the fork of Chedun Xinmin Branch Line in Songjiang District in the north and ends at Jinwei West Station in Jinshan District in the south. Across the Huangpu River, near Hangzhou Bay.
Overview of production line
The line branches with Minhang West Station at K6+256, Xinmin Branch Line to the east of Songjiang Chedun, and extends southward. It crosses Songpu Bridge, a railway-highway dual-purpose bridge of Huangpu River, at Desheng Port in Songjiang District, and continues southward along the west bank of Yexie Port and Longquan Port, crossing Yangshan Town westward, and setting Jinwei West Station as the terminal in the southwest of jinshanwei town. There are eleven stations along the line: Xinzhuang×, Chunshen×, Xinqiao×, Minhang West×, Yexie×, Lin Ting×, Ruanxiang×, Yang Shan×, Jinshan×, Jin Weidong and Jinweixi. Jinwei West Station is a dedicated industrial station. Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical Co., Ltd. (referred to as Shanghai Petrochemical) special line was introduced from Jinwei West Station.
The whole line is 43.498 kilometers long. The tie line is 0.762km from Jinshan branch line to Xinmin branch line.
The reconstructed Jinshan branch line is listed as Shanghai Rapid Rail Transit Line 22, and it was officially started on August 12, 2009.
After the capacity expansion from Shanghai South to Jinshan, high-quality suburban passenger trains will be opened. According to the plan, by 20 15, there will be 36 pairs of buses every day, and by 2025, it will reach 52 pairs every day. According to reports, the maximum speed of passenger cars in this section is 160 km/h, and the speed limit in some sections is significantly higher than that in rail transit with 80 km/h.
The main projects include the addition of the third and fourth lines 15.4 km between Shanghai South Railway Station and Xinqiao Station, the addition of the second line between Xinqiao Station and Jinshan Station by about 4 1 km, and the new Huangpu River Bridge. The total investment of the project is 4.8 billion yuan, which is jointly funded by the Ministry of Railways and Shanghai. The construction period is two years. It is expected to be completed and opened to traffic by the end of 20 1 1 and officially opened to traffic on September 28th, 20 12. There are Shanghai South Railway Station, Xinzhuang Station (not yet opened), Chunshen Station, Xinqiao Station, Chedun Station, Yexie Station and Lin Ting along the way.
