It seems that Trap must be a product of Hiphop, but in 2012, some producers and DJs began to add Trap to their works, which gave rise to the term EDM Trap. It is this virus-like spread that has also given rise to various Trap branches. In my personal opinion, Trap is divided into two major categories: Rap Trap and EDM trap. Some styles are precisely because of EDM Trap. It only appeared with the emergence of . On the contrary, many branches of EDM Trap are not suitable for Rap Trap.

Currently, Trap Music is roughly divided into three categories:
