Sun Yat-sen (1866-1925) was a native of Cuiheng Village, Nanlang, Xiangshan County. He established the Republic of China, abolished China's thousands-year feudal system, and served as the first interim president of the Republic of China. He was revered by the Chinese as the "Father of the Nation" or "Forerunner of the Revolution."

Tang Shaoyi (1859-1938), a native of Xiangshan County (now Tangjia Town, Zhuhai), was the Prime Minister of the Republic of China when it was founded.

Ruan Lingyu (1910-1935) was a native of Zubutou Village, Nanlang, Xiangshan County. A famous actress in the Chinese silent film era, her masterpiece is "The Goddess".

Rong Guotuan (1937-1968), a native of Zhongshan County. Male table tennis player, became the first table tennis world champion of the People's Republic of China in 1959.

Su Manshu (1884-1918), a native of Xiangshan County. He was a poet, writer and translator in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China. Later generations compiled his works into "The Complete Works of Manshu".

Fang Cheng (born in 1918) is from Xiangshan County. A contemporary cartoonist and currently the honorary president of the China News Cartoon Research Association.

Sun Ke (1891-1973), son of Sun Yat-sen. From 1947 to 1948, he served as Vice Chairman, Legislative Yuan, and Executive Yuan of the National Government.

Yang Xianyi (1891-1923) was a native of Beitai Village, Xiangshan County. In 1922, he served as the director of the Aviation Bureau. In 1923, he built the first military aircraft designed and produced by China.

Wang Yunwu (1888-1979), a native of Xiangshan. In the 1920s, he took charge of the Commercial Press. In 1948, he served as the Minister of Finance of the Executive Yuan of the National Government, during which he launched the gold yuan coupon.

Lu Haodong (1868-1895), a native of Xiangshan. One of the initiators of the Guangzhou Uprising and the designer of the Blue Sky and White Sun Flag.

Zheng Guanying (1842-1921), a native of Xiangshan. He is a famous thinker and industrialist in modern China. He has lived in Macao for a long time and is known as the "Son of Macao".

Rong Hong (1828-1912) was a native of Xiangshan (now Nanping Town, Zhuhai City). He graduated from a university in the United States in 1854 and was known as "the first person to study in China."

Xiao Youmei (1884-1940), a native of Xiangshan. Dr. Liu De, composer and music theorist. The pioneer and founder of modern music education in China.
