Time division of ancient Korean music
1, Three Kingdoms Period (57 BC-7th century AD): This period was the beginning of ancient Korean history and music began to develop. According to historical records, the music in the Three Kingdoms period was mainly used for sacrificial ceremonies, banquets, military activities and other occasions, mostly playing musical instruments.

2. Unified Silla era (7th century-10/0th century): With the rise of Silla dynasty, music was further developed. During this period, Tang Wenhua's influence gradually emerged. Silla Dynasty began to introduce Tang Le, but it also developed its own music, such as Silla Dance and Silla Six Songs.

3. Koryo Period (10th century-14th century): This period is an important period of Korean medieval music. With the rise of the Koryo dynasty, music got further development and prosperity.

4. Korean era (14th century-early 20th century): This period is the last period of Korean medieval music. During this period, the Korean dynasty respected Confucianism, and music began to be influenced by Confucianism.
