Music score is a method of recording music with symbols by printing or handwriting. Different cultures and regions have developed different notations. Notation can be divided into two categories: recording pitch and recording fingering. Staff, notation and Braille are all musical scores that record the pitch. The six-line spectrum of guitar and the subtraction spectrum of guqin belong to the spectrum of recording fingering.

Traditional music scores are mainly copied on paper, but now there are computer programs that can make music scores.

Composed of treble spectrum and bass spectrum, it is used for piano, organ, harp and mixed chorus. A temporary additional line hidden in the two spectrograms represents the central C, so it is also called the eleven-line spectrogram.
