Principle:
An electroluminescent sheet consists of luminescent powder placed between two planar electrodes. It is a sandwich structure with two electrodes on top and bottom. The upper electrode is a transparent conductive film (ITO film) from which light is emitted, and the lower electrode is a back electrode, mainly made of silver and carbon, and the luminescent material is mainly zinc sulfide (ZnS). When the alternating voltage is sandwiched between two electrodes, the electric field makes the (ZnS) particles generate stimulated transition, thus emitting light in each charge-discharge cycle. When different activators are contained, the brightness of EL changes with the change of voltage and frequency between electrodes, and increases with the increase of voltage and frequency.
