The National Piano Teachers Association was founded in 1929 and has a history of 90 years. It has 868 centers in the United States and Canada and 17 overseas branches.
In order to allow "every artist from children to young adults to receive correct, positive and beneficial evaluation and rewards in the field of music", the Association established and organized the professional, authoritative and innovative National Piano Competition Assessment examination (National Piano Playing Audition). The National Piano Evaluation Examination is an international piano evaluation system. More than 100,000 students take part in it every year from all over the world, and its certificates are widely recognized by universities around the world.

There is no limit to the repertoire of the National Piano Assessment Examination. As long as it is officially published music score, it can be used as the test repertoire, including classical, jazz, and pop. Free selection of music is an expansion and extension of children's vision and knowledge, but it places great demands on the piano teacher's own repertoire and ability to grade the repertoire.
Every year after the National Examination, the special issue of National Publishing World will publish the photos and personal profiles of the candidates who have participated in the National Award and International Award for a total of 5 years or more in that year (the number of years of participation does not need to be consecutive).
Students who have participated in the National Award or International Award for a total of 10 years (the number of years of participation does not need to be consecutive) can also apply for the Paderewski Gold Badge.
Students who have participated in the National Award or International Award for a total of 15 years (the years of participation do not need to be consecutive) can apply for the Irl Allison Gold Badge.
The top five candidates who meet the requirements each year can also receive an additional scholarship of US$100.
