What are the domestic search engines? I recently summarized it myself and found that there are roughly the following search engines.

1. Baidu

Baidu search engine currently includes: web search, news search, image search, MP3 search, video search and many other search engines. Among them, web search has a large market share. Baidu is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Baidu Network Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd. established by Robin Li and Xu Yong in Zhongguancun, Beijing on January 1, 2001. The head office was established in Silicon Valley in the United States at the end of 1999.

In August 2001, Baidu officially released the Beta version of Baidu search engine, thus starting to provide search services independently. In September 2001, Baidu's bidding ranking was launched for the first time, establishing Baidu's position as the leader in the search engine industry.

On August 5, 2005, Baidu was listed on NASDAQ.

2. Google

Google search engine currently includes: web search, image search, video search, map search, shopping search and other search engines. Google is the Chinese name of Google, which was officially launched on April 12, 2006. Google was officially founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin of Stanford University on September 7, 1998, in a friend's garage in Menlo Park, California.

In July 2005, Kai-fu Lee joined Google. And serves as the president of Google China.

3. Yahoo

Yahoo search engine currently includes: web search, image search and other search engines, Yahoo is Yahoo! The company's Chinese branch is currently under the control of Alibaba Group.

4. Soso

Soso search engine currently includes: web search, image search, video search, music search, blog search and other search engines. Soso is an independent search engine owned by Tencent, which was officially released and operated in March 2006. Before September 1, 2009, it mainly used Google's technology, and then began to use its own technology independently.

5. Bing

Bing search engine currently includes: web search, image search, video search, map search and other search engines. Bing is an independent search engine owned by Microsoft. It officially launched the new brand Bing on June 1, 2009. It used to use the names live and MSN before.

6. Sogou

Sogou search engine currently includes: web search, news search, music search, image search, video search, map search and other search engines. Sogou is an independent search engine owned by Sohu Company and was launched on August 3, 2004.

On August 9, 2010, Sohu and Alibaba announced that they would spin off Sogou’s business and establish an independent joint venture.

7. Youdao

Youdao search engine currently includes: web search, image search, shopping search, image search, music search, video search and other search engines. Youdao is an independent search engine under NetEase. It was officially launched in December 2006 and develops its own core.
