Chaozhou Xianshi music is folk silk and bamboo music. "Xianshiyue" originally refers to the performance of Chaozhou ancient music poems. Later, it gradually became a general term for Chaozhou folk string, windpipe, plucked and other musical instruments such as solo, ensemble, ensemble and other performance forms. It is an important part of Chaozhou music.

Xianshi music is popular mainly in the counties of Chaoshan area, but also in Longyan and Longxi areas of southern Fujian, Hakka Wuhua, Dabu, Xingning and other places in Guangdong, and Lufeng and Haifeng counties in the south. All have been circulated and have a broad and deep mass base.
