General Provisions
Article 1 The Chinese Musicians Association is a professional people's organization led by the Communist Party of China and composed of musicians of all ethnic groups across the country. It is a bridge and link between the party and the government and the music industry. It is an important force for the prosperity of socialist literature and art and the development of advanced important force of culture.
Article 2 The Chinese Musicians Association is guided by Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory and the important thought of "Three Represents", fully implements the Scientific Outlook on Development, and insists that literature and art "serve the people and society" The direction of "serving socialism", implementing the policy of "letting a hundred flowers bloom and a hundred schools of thought contending", carrying forward the main theme and advocating diversity. Article 3 The Association abides by the Constitution of the People's Republic of China and various national laws and regulations, and carries out activities in accordance with the Articles of Association. Strive to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of members.
Tasks
Article 4: The association has the responsibilities of liaising, coordinating and serving members, and plays the role of organization, guidance, service and rights protection.
Article 5: In accordance with the requirements of virtue and art, strive to improve the ideological and moral quality, cultural accomplishment and professional level of the music team. Continuously strengthen industry services, industry management, and industry self-discipline.
Article 6: Organize members to go deep into life and carry out creative activities. We insist on being close to reality, life, and the masses, encourage exploration and innovation, inherit and carry forward the excellent music tradition of the Chinese nation, focus on the forefront of world cultural development, and learn from the outstanding cultural achievements of other countries around the world. Article 7: Organize competitions and awards activities such as the China Music Golden Bell Award to recognize outstanding music creation, music performance, music theory achievements, and musicians who have made significant contributions to music education and other music work. Reward and commend.
Article 8: Organize activities such as performance viewing and exchange discussions to promote the development and prosperity of music performing arts and music education.
Article 9: Organize academic seminars to promote the improvement and development of commentary and theoretical work. Run music publications well and strive to reflect the current status and achievements of music creation, performance, theory, education, etc.
Article 10: Organize members to collect, organize, and study the musical cultural heritage of various ethnic groups and folk in my country, and inherit and carry forward the fine traditions of national music.
Article 11: Carry out social music activities, organize members to participate in music popularization work, care about and participate in national music education, and strive to improve the national music quality.
Article 12 Promote and strengthen contacts and exchanges with music organizations and musicians in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Macao Special Administrative Region, Taiwan Region and overseas Chinese, in order to promote the excellent culture of the Chinese nation and promote the reunification of the motherland Contribute.
Article 13: Promote international music and cultural exchanges, enhance unity and friendship with musicians from various countries, and contribute to the development of world music culture.
Article 14: Strengthen cooperation with relevant government departments and all sectors of society, and develop the music and cultural industry in accordance with national policies.

Members
Article 16 The Chinese Musicians Association implements individual membership and group membership systems.
Article 17 The Musicians Association of all provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government, and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps are group members of this association. The music associations affiliated to the national industrial federations of literary and art circles agree with the association's charter and submit applications. Upon approval by the China Musicians Association presidium, they can become group members of the association. The cultural authorities of the Chinese People's Liberation Army and the Chinese People's Armed Police Force are regarded as group members.
Article 18 Any music worker who is a citizen of the People's Republic of China and has made certain achievements in music work agrees with the charter of this association and applies in person. Two members of the China Music Association You can become a member of the China Musician Association after being introduced by members and recommended by the member unit of your group or the designated organization of the association. After being reviewed and approved by the association and completing the necessary procedures.
Musicians and music workers in the Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions who agree with the articles of association of this association can apply personally and be recommended by relevant parties. After submitting to the association for approval and completing the procedures, they can become individuals of the association. member.
Details of the conditions for membership will be formulated separately in accordance with this Articles of Association. After approval by the Presidium, they will be organized and implemented by the resident leadership body.
Article 19 Members have the obligation to abide by the association's charter, implement the association's resolutions, participate in the association's activities, safeguard the association's rights and interests, and pay membership fees on time. Members have the right to vote and be elected, and have the right to supervise, criticize and make suggestions on the work of the Association. Members are free to withdraw from membership.
Article 20 Anyone who seriously violates the association's charter or violates criminal laws due to illegal crimes will have his or her membership revoked after discussion and approval by the association's presidium.
Article 21: Musicians from Taiwan compatriots and overseas Chinese who have made special contributions to my country's music industry may, upon review and approval, be awarded honorary consultants, honorary directors, and honorary members.
Organization
Article 22 The organizational principle of this association is democratic centralism. The highest authority of the association is the National Congress, whose powers are:
1. Decide on the association’s work policies and tasks;
2. Review work reports;

5. Decide on other major matters.
Article 23: Representatives to the National Congress are elected by members of various groups and relevant units, and some specially invited representatives are determined according to the situation. A person in charge of the daily work of each group member is the representative of the group members at the National Congress and also serves as a director candidate representing the members of the group. For directors representing group members, after job changes, the group members will elect replacement candidates and report them to the presidium of the association for record.
Article 24 The Congress elects the Board of Directors. The board of directors elects a chairman and several vice-chairmen, and the chairman and vice-chairmen form the presidium. The presidium appoints a secretary-general and several deputy secretaries-general.
When the National Congress is not in session, the Council implements the resolutions of the Congress. When the Board of Directors is not in session, the Presidium exercises the functions and powers of the Board of Directors.
The resident vice president presides over the daily work of the association.
Article 25 The National Congress shall be held every five years, and may be held in advance or postponed when necessary. The Board of Directors is held from time to time and is chaired by the Presidium. Presidium meetings are presided over by the chairman or the vice-president entrusted by the chairman to reside at the meeting, and can be convened at any time as needed.
Article 26 The association shall establish honorary positions such as honorary chairman and consultant, which shall be recommended or hired by the presidium. Those holding honorary positions will no longer serve as directors.
Funding
Article 27 Sources of funding for the association: state appropriations, membership dues, social sponsorship, and other legal income.
Article 28 The funds and assets of the association are protected by law, and no unit or individual may embezzle or misappropriate them.

Article 29 The English name of this association is CHINESE MUSICIAN’ASSOCIATION (abbreviation: CMA), and its address is in Beijing.
Article 30 This Article of Association shall be discussed and adopted by the National Congress of the Association, and the right to amend it belongs to the National Congress of the Association. The right to interpret the provisions of the charter belongs to the Chinese Musicians Association.
