Music can generally convey certain thoughts or emotions through sound, but it can also have no deep meaning and only provide people with comfortable and pleasant enjoyment.

I think this is similar to a novel. Great novels can express profound themes, but they can also just be great stories.

Music is relative. What may be called music to one person may be noise to another. However, good music can suit the tastes of most people, or at least the tastes of most people with musical literacy.
