Tibetan folk songs! Adaptation
Batang is the hometown of Xianzi. Xianzi has the characteristics of being highly participatory and easy to learn and master. According to regional characteristics, it can be divided into two types: Batang Xianzi and Geda Xianzi.
The performance of Xianzi is informal. Three or five people can dance impromptu, or hundreds or even thousands of people can dance together. The Xianzi dance must be accompanied by the Tibetan Erhu, led by the piano player, with the piano player as the core, and the rhythm of the entire dance is also controlled by the piano player. The lyrics of Xianzi are profound, subtle, gorgeous, rich in emotion, and have a strong local flavor. The tunes are generally short and concise, with neat rhythm and beautiful melody. They are easy to sing and remember, and are suitable for mass singing and dancing.
In 2000, Batang was named the "Hometown of Chinese Folk Art (Xianzi)" by the Ministry of Culture.
