Guitar can be graded. According to the Musicians Association website, professional-level certificates for guitars and other musical instruments can be obtained in China. There are two popular domestic guitar grading systems: China Conservatory of Music grading and Royal Academy of Music grading (ABRSM). The China Conservatory of Music examination is divided into four levels: elementary, intermediate, advanced and professional. The British Royal Conservatory of Music examinations are divided into eight levels, including entry-level, junior, intermediate, advanced, diploma and other different levels. Guitar grades are generally issued by well-known music conservatories such as China Conservatory of Music and Central Conservatory of Music or related associations and organizations.
