Italian lyrics to the Cuban folk song "La Paloma"

Song title: La Paloma

Singer: Nana Mouskouri

Lyrics: Anonymous

Composer: Sebastian Ila Thiel

Cuando salí de la habana' válgame dios

When I left Havana harbor alone

Nadie me ha visto salir sino fuí yo

< p>No one sees how sad I am

Y una linda guachinanga como una flor

Only the beautiful girl

Se vino detrás de mí' que si se?or

She clung to me sadly

Si a tu ventana llega una paloma

If a pigeon flies to your window

p>

I ask you to welcome it as kindly as you do to me

Cuéntale tus amores bien de mi vida

p>

Ah, please tell it the love in your heart

Corónala de flores que es cosa mía

Please also put the garland on it

What a beautiful little dove

Ay que vente conmigo chinita

My dear girl

A donde vivo yo

Come to me quickly

Y una linda guachinanga como una flor

Only the beauty The girl

Se vino detrás de mí' que si se?or

She nestled beside me sadly

Suppose a pigeon flies to your window

I ask you to greet it as kindly as you would me< /p>

Cuéntale tus amores bien de mi vida

Ah, please tell it the love in your heart

Corónala de flores que es cosa mía

< p>Please also put that garland on it

What a beautiful little dove

Ay que vente conmigo chinita

My dear girl

A donde vivo yo

Come to me

What a beautiful little dove

Ay que vente conmigo chinita

My dear girl

A donde vivo yo

Come quickly to the place where I live

Song background

The song "Pigeon" was born In the 19th century, it is a song composed by the famous Spanish composer Sebastian Elatier. He has written many songs, most of which have a strong flavor of Spanish folk songs. The song "Pigeon" was composed by Iratil when he was living abroad in Havana, Cuba. The song adopts the rhythm of Habanera, a Cuban folk dance.

Usually in medium or slow tempo, in 2/4 time, Habanera is a dance music introduced and popular in Spain in the 19th century. It is said that Iratil is better than the French composer. My friend, Iratil gave Bizet the influence of Spanish music, and the famous habanera "Love is like a free bird" in Bizet's opera "Carmen" is a direct quotation of Ilatil's tune.
