How do you think you have grown in 2016?

In a blink of an eye, there are only a few days left in 2016. When I took stock of the growth I achieved in 2016, I didn’t even have a clue. After sorting it out carefully, I extracted five key words from five aspects: work, study, family, health, and making friends, which will be the key to my growth in 2016!

Adaptation at work

I have not made any particularly outstanding achievements at work. Although I have been busy working within the system for a whole year, I can only look for the bright spots to see my results. When I was there, I discovered that there wasn’t much in fact, but in this ordinary time, I felt that the key to my growth lay in one word: “adaptation”. From February to now, as an executor, all my immediate bosses have changed. As an old guy in the department, I have to adapt to the impact of the leadership change, and even more to the adjustment of work after the personnel change.

Don’t follow the past work model and take the initiative to adapt to the new boss’s work style. To be honest, I am still quite tired during this period, but the gains are not small. The ancients said:

Change will lead to success.

Yes, taking the initiative to change yourself can be considered a harvest at the corner of life!

Specialization in Learning

I have been working for 16 or 7 years. When I occasionally read a book at this age, someone always says:

It’s about time What are you still studying? Why did you go there early?

The ancients said:

When you are young and eager to learn, you are like the rising sun; when you are strong and eager to learn, you are like the light in the sun; when you are old, you are eager to learn. And being eager to learn is as bright as a candle. Bingzhu's brightness, who is guilty of ignorance?

Even if you are ignorant and incompetent when you are young, you will learn from the pain in old age and start to learn and grow. It is better to be like a candle in the wind than to walk in the dark at night. What I call learning is not just reading a few books, but trying to output through active reading to increase your learning output ratio. I read three to four hundred books last year and the year before that. This year I consciously controlled the amount of input and strengthened the output link, and the results were quite satisfactory.

Yi Renyongcheng told me:

Participating in business training and learning knowledge in a systematic way is much better than studying on your own and taking free or low-cost micro courses.

Through this year’s study, I have a deep understanding. This year, I invested more than 15% of my personal annual income in learning and self-growth. I hope to get more output in the future.

Family companionship

My child is eight years old and I am usually busy with work. Sometimes when I come back from overtime work, my child has already fallen asleep. My wife often advises me not to work too hard, so this year I spend more time with my child, playing with him, even listening to him tell me stories. After all, the older the child is, the more likely he will no longer be willing to stick to his parents, and will no longer have the chance to listen to him tell stories.

Persistence in health

From the beginning of the year to now, I have clocked in and woke up early for 93 days. I persisted for more than 200 days without interruption before, but I forgot to clock in because I was in a hurry to catch a train, but it does not affect Develop the habit of getting up early, and insist on getting up early to study. At the same time, insist on walking when you go to work, so that you can pay more attention to your body, be responsible for yourself, and be responsible for your family.

Gratitude in the network

In 2016, I was lucky enough to meet many great people and close friends, which made my growth more steady. Therefore, gratitude has become a key word in my growth. Some of them are mentors and some of them are close friends who share the same hobbies, which have benefited me a lot. I have met at least dozens of mentors and helpful friends this year. Let’s just name five.

Yi Ren Yongcheng: This is a mentor I have known for four or five years and a lifelong friend. Every time we meet again, he gives me new inspiration and help, a treasure trove for life! Zhao Ang: I am an expert in the field of career counseling. I met him online and went to Beijing to listen to the teacher's lectures in July. I learned a lot about the qualities and role models that a counselor should have and benefited a lot. Mole’s Potato: The teacher I met at the beginning of the year, an excellent book reviewer, and a contracted author of short books have given me tremendous support and help in the field of reading, from book reading to the growth of my personal brand. I am extremely grateful. Yan Jie: My book-opening master, a third-level book-opening expert who led me to open books, allowed me to enter the new field of book-opening. Wang Qingchun: Communication expert and very candid mentor. In the past year, he pointed out many problems in my communication to me, which changed my attitude and way of speaking to a certain extent.
