What is music quality?
Music literacy is a comprehensive quality education for learning music. It is an independent professional discipline and a basic compulsory course of music. Including reading music, solfeggio, listening, rhythm, harmony, writing, music appreciation, music history and other comprehensive theoretical basis. It is a compulsory course for all majors in music departments of art colleges and normal universities in China. At the same time, it is also the music theoretical basis that must be matched in the current instrumental music examination. It is an important subject to train musicians and improve their overall musical quality.

A person who studies music, if he doesn't learn music literacy, is equivalent to a robot who plays the piano and sings mechanically, unable to understand, understand and express music. Therefore, learning music literacy is to comprehensively improve students' comprehensive quality of music, promote students' study of professional disciplines, and enhance their ability to perceive, understand and create music.

At present, there is still a lack of understanding in learning music literacy. As far as teachers are concerned, they think that a class is limited and most of the time is spent teaching musical instruments. How can they have time to guide students to learn music literacy? This kind of thinking is prone to the phenomenon that the performance ability is seriously out of touch with the music literacy ability. With the deepening of the learning level, students' reading speed is slow, the reading error rate is high, and they can't understand the connotation of music, which leads to lower efficiency of practicing piano, longer learning period, increased pressure and disappearance of interest. On the parents' side, ignoring the law of music education, encouraging children to learn and blindly asking teachers to catch up with the progress and level led teachers to give up the teaching of music literacy courses. Even if they pass the exam, they can only play one or two tunes and know nothing else. This situation is a great misfortune for piano learners, and it is also a waste of time for teachers and parents to cultivate children.

So, how to pay attention to the cultivation of music literacy?

What is music literacy?

Broadly speaking, music is any kind of artistic, pleasant, prudent or other arranged sound. The definition of so-called music is still controversial, but it can usually be interpreted as a series of organizations with temporality to sound and silence, including the rhythm, melody and harmony of different scales. Music can be experienced in several ways, and the most traditional one is to listen to musicians on the spot. Radio and television can also play live music, similar to listening to tapes or watching music videos. Sometimes live performances will be mixed with some pre-recorded recordings, such as the friction sound made by DJ with records. Of course, you can also make music, sing, play musical instruments or compose music loosely. Even deaf people can experience music by feeling the vibration of their own bodies. The most famous deaf musician is Beethoven, and most of his famous works were written after he completely lost his hearing. When people want to learn music, they go to music classes. Musicology is a broad field of music history and scientific research, including music theory and music history. As an ancient art, many music schools have changed. Ethnomusicology, as a branch of anthropology, is a discipline that specializes in the origin and development of these schools.
