The Hong Kong Cultural Centre of the Cultural Centre
The Hong Kong Cultural Center is located in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, next to the Star Ferry Pier, adjacent to the Hong Kong Space Museum and the Hong Kong Museum of Art. The foundation stone of the Hong Kong Cultural Center was laid on 1979, started on 1984 and opened on1989165438+1October 8. The opening ceremony of the Hong Kong Cultural Center was officially announced by the then British Crown Prince Charles and Princess Diana.

The Hong Kong Cultural Center is located on the seashore of Tsim Sha Tsui, with superior location and advanced equipment. It has a 2,085-seat concert hall with exquisite design and excellent acoustic effect. The Grand Theatre with 1 734 seats is equipped with the most advanced technical facilities (including stage changing system and electric rotating band seats). The shape of the cultural center is like a combat knife, and the streamlined roof is simple and elegant, which surrounds the upper colonnade of the triangular space of the building and blends harmoniously with the building itself.

The former site of Hong Kong Cultural Center is the terminal of the old Kowloon-Canton Railway. After the demolition of the main station, the existing cultural center complex was built on the land, and the bell tower of the main station has been preserved to this day. Advanced equipment, including a concert hall with 2 100 seats, two large theaters, an experimental theater, an art gallery and six exhibition halls. The center attracts all kinds of first-class artists to perform here, including concerts, operas, musicals, large-scale dances and dramas, experimental dramas and so on. It is also an ideal place for film appreciation, meetings and exhibitions. Currently managed by the Hong Kong Leisure and Cultural Services Department, it is the main performance venue in Hong Kong. Covered sidewalks and promenades connect the cultural center with other buildings in the area, including the bell tower of the former railway station in Victorian architecture.
