Introduction to the Chinese Musicians Association

The Chinese Musicians' Association is a national and professional musician organization. It is a professional organization led by the Communist Party of China and composed of musicians of all ethnic groups across the country. People's organizations are the bridge and link between the party and the government and the vast number of musicians and music workers. They are an important force in the prosperity of my country's socialist music industry. They are one of the members of the International Music Council (IMC) under UNESCO. Founded in July 1949, it was originally called the "All-China Music Workers Association" and its first chairman was the musician Mr. Lu Ji. The Chinese Musicians Association implements individual membership and group membership systems. There are currently 34 group members (provincial and autonomous region music associations) and more than 10,000 individual members (including composers, singers, performers, theoretical critics, lyricists, music Educator, translator, music activity organizer), distributed in various art schools, artistic performance groups and research departments across the country, engaged in creation, theoretical research, performance and teaching. The Chinese Musicians Association is a corporate member of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles.
