Introduction of Harbin Conservatory of Music

Harbin Conservatory of Music is the only independent public art college in Heilongjiang Province, one of the eleven independent professional conservatories in China, and one of the first-class discipline construction universities in Heilongjiang Province. The College is located in Harbin, the capital of Heilongjiang Province, which is praised as the "City of Music" by the United Nations. It is located on the north bank of the beautiful Songhua River, No.3179 Xuezi Street, Songbei District, Harbin, and echoes the Harbin Grand Theatre from a distance. The college covers an area of 219, square meters with a building area of 68, square meters. The campus has a strong cultural atmosphere and excellent ecological environment. The main buildings, such as the main building, concert hall, library and training building, have distinct Russian architectural art style, which has both aesthetic feeling and practical function, and complement the cultural characteristics of the Conservatory of Music.

it has been the dream of Harbin and even Heilongjiang people for decades to set up an independent music college in Harbin. In November 213, based on the overall consideration of implementing the national strategy towards Russia, promoting the historical and cultural traditions of regional music and optimizing the layout structure of higher education in the province, the Heilongjiang Provincial Party Committee and the provincial government proposed to introduce Russian high-quality music education resources and set up Harbin Conservatory of Music, which opened the prelude to the preparation of Harbin Conservatory of Music. After nearly two years' comprehensive promotion, the college conforms to the Interim Provisions on the Establishment of Ordinary Undergraduate Schools in terms of school scale, disciplines, teaching staff, teaching and scientific research level, infrastructure, and school funding. It was accepted and evaluated by the Higher Education Establishment Evaluation Committee of the Ministry of Education in September 215, and was formally approved in March 216 after being reviewed by the Ministry of Education. In October 216, the Party Committee of Harbin Conservatory of Music was formally established.
