Extended data:

"Etudes" were originally created by composers to let students practice some playing skills. It is usually based on a single musical motivation. There are many such songs, including thousands written by European composers only in the19th century. J. S. Bach was the first person to write piano etudes systematically.

Many "preludes" in his 12 collection of piano music with even rhythm have the nature of "etudes"; Liszt, a Hungarian composer, has also systematically written some piano etudes, such as 12 piano etudes with super skills, and the famous piano music "Ghost Fire" is one of them.

In addition, Franz Klammer, Maria and others also wrote many etudes. Bach's 12 Piano Ensemble with Equal Rhythm, the extraordinary imagination in Liszt's etudes and the etudes written by Franz Klammer and others for specific techniques all inspired Chopin to create 27 piano etudes.

Almost all of Chopin's 27 etudes have specific techniques, except seven or eight of them are medium or slow, others are fast and have clear teaching purposes. However, Chopin's etudes are different from those written by predecessors, and there are no shortcomings such as simple mechanical skill practice and boring mediocrity.

They are not only highly targeted and difficult to practice, but also have profound ideological connotations, just like a short musical poem. Therefore, Chopin's etudes are often described as a "revolution" in the history of piano music.
