The Central Academy of Drama, referred to as "Chinese Opera", is located in Beijing and directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC). It is the first batch of "world-class discipline construction universities" in China, and has been selected into the national postgraduate project of building high-level universities and the national "key discipline project with characteristics".

International Stage Art Union, China Higher Drama Education Union Headquarters, Asian Drama Education and Research Center Headquarters, World Federation of Drama Schools Secretariat, World Federation of Drama Schools International University Drama Festival Activity Base. The Central Academy of Drama is the first drama education institution in New China, and it has a UNESCO seat in drama education.
