Julie Andrews, Christopher Plummer, starring in The Sound of Music: A young nun finds it difficult to adapt to the new life in a monastery in 1930' s Austria. The abbess decided that the best way was to send nuns (called Maria) to this world to discover life. She was sent to von trapp's house to babysit seven children of Captain V trapp. V trapp, a widowed former naval colonel, lost his job after the Treaty of Versailles. He is a proud nationalist, worried about the rise of the extreme right in neighboring Germany and talking about alliances. V trapp does the housework, because he has no choice but to do it, and he is very sad for his wife. When Maria arrived at the scene, she was opposed by the children and was tired of the captain's attitude. However, with the passage of time, she established contact with the whole family, especially Lisa, the eldest child, who guided her into adulthood and filled the gap in the absence of Lisa's mother. The captain is engaged to the baroness, a woman the children don't like, for a reason-she loves their father instead of them! However, gradually, with the passage of time, Maria and the captain fell in love. The baroness realized this and made up a story to make Maria want to go back to the monastery, but Maria helped Mr. and Mrs. V. trapp rediscover music and found happiness through music. She returned to them, and the baroness finally accepted the fact that Maria and the captain were destined to be together. They got married, but when they came back from their honeymoon, they faced the terrible news that Austria was occupied. Captain V. trapp was immediately called to fight for the Nazi high seas fleet, but he was against the Nazis and disobedient, so he put his beloved family in danger.
