Shanghai Conservatory of Music is so beautiful, the German-style music castle is about to open~
The vicinity of Shanghai Conservatory of Music is so beautiful! The wall along the road has been demolished. Walking through the tree-lined Fenyang Road, you can hear bursts of opera music. The front door of Shangyin Opera House is full of hydrangeas, which is a feast for the eyes!
No. 1131, Huaihai Middle Road, is a typical German Renaissance-style garden house designed by Beco Matheson. It has gabled arch windows, red tiles and wooden fences, German-style helmet tops, gorgeous stained glass windows, and a bungalow. It was built from 1905 to 1911 and has been quietly standing here for a hundred years. Over the past century, this place has been the Belgian Consulate, the office of Dean He Luting, and the library of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. Currently, Shangyin has planned it as a music master space and Shangyin reception room.
Shanghai Conservatory of Music is bounded by Huaihai Middle Road to the north and Fuxing Middle Road to the south. Even the nearby small streets Taojiang Road, Hengshan Road, and Dongping Road can be visited casually, and any photo taken will be a blockbuster! It’s perfect for hanging out, hiking or biking with a few friends
