This is a small Tarot case, but it is very interesting and fully reflects the ever-changing nature of Tarot card interpretation, so I recorded it.
The client is a musician. Recently, she feels that her music career has encountered difficulties.
The first card array: past, present, future. This is a very classic deck that can be applied to almost any problem. Judging from the entire deck, she has received good training in the past (the Guard of Swords), but this training seems a bit broad and not deep enough (the meaning of the Guard of Swords itself, and the implication of Temperance reversed). Now, she needs to change her way of working, but she is obviously still confused. Something has disappeared, but she is unconsciously holding on to it (Six of Swords reversed).
Future Hints The Temperance card reversed has a rich meaning. The question she struggled with was: Is it the right path for me to pursue music? The Temperance card shows that it is right, it is a call from heaven, it is the mission of the soul. In fact, when she first said that she was a musician, I knew that she had not taken the wrong path in life. But the first message the reversed position of this card gave me was: improper. This means that she has not yet found the balance that can connect conscious decisions and unconscious impulses, practical needs and inspiration, spirit and matter, heaven and earth, and she cannot yet smoothly pour water from this pitcher to that pitcher. This card also implies that the training she received in the past, including her previous life, has placed some restrictions on her, preventing her from fully displaying her talents.
Then we continued to ask the question: "How to break through this obstacle?" We drew the reversed position of the world card. This card conveys a similar meaning to Temperance, but with a greater expansion. I feel that her music is magnificent and conveys a very broad spiritual meaning. She must expand her inner and outer world to reach this height and depth.
At this point, I felt the need to examine what making music meant to her soul, and I saw music throughout her incarnations. So she asked a question: What was the past life that had the greatest impact on her life? Ace of Cups. Okay, pianist. The Holy Grail card itself is related to music. How can I use this ability in this life? Gold coin guard. There are no shortcuts, just study hard and practice hard, one step at a time.
We then asked the Tarot about three practical options, and interestingly Temperance and the Ace of Cups came up again. All three options have their own pros and cons. In general, she must spend this period of embarrassment and confusion with patience, allowing herself to truly understand what she should do and what she should not do, instead of letting the outside world and internal factors forcing her to do so (as suggested by the Temperance card).
The recurring Holy Grail card means that she may have some emotional issues, including past lives and the present. This reminds me of the King of Cups reversed card we originally drew. This means that in the process of learning music, she may have suffered some emotional trauma, directly pointing to the past life that had the greatest impact on her: the pianist. But because this was just a Tarot case, I did not read more past life information in detail.
Tips: The focus of tarot card interpretation is not the cards themselves, but the questions. Tarot masters must grasp this problem, find the information they receive instantly, and accurately translate it with the help of cards.
