How can we use children's curiosity to promote the development of their creativity, artistic cognition and perception? I accidentally borrowed a set of picture books from the Baoan Library, "Picture Books on Piggy Huahua's Cognitive Growth". The author and publisher are both unknown, but they gave us a vivid answer. In early education, color education has a great impact on the development of babies' abilities of identification, appreciation and imagination. Identifying colors can help children develop good observation skills and habits. In the "Little Pig Flower" series of picture books, The use of large areas of bright colors grabs the baby's attention and provides the baby with rich visual stimulation, which can promote brain development.

When I first took this set of picture books home, it was classified as a series of children's requests for "Do it again, do it again". In line with the principle of discovering beauty and sharing beauty, I decisively decided to share it at the weekend community story meeting. .

1. Introduction to the picture book

Piggy Huahua is a cute child. Every day of her life brings new discoveries and new fun to her. The world is her big playground. "Piggy Huahua Cognitive Growth Picture Book" includes three books: "Happy Blowing Bubbles", "Favorite Things", and "Flower World". The content covers many aspects such as children's color cognition, habit cultivation, and emotion management. The author created a cute piggy image in the book, using words that infants and young children can understand, attractive pictures, and bright colors that stimulate the baby's brain development. From the reading ability, psychological characteristics and self-identity of babies aged 0-3, Based on the developmental characteristics, this set of picture books suitable for babies was created.

2. Introduction to the author

A'Zhu is a new children's book writer born in the 1990s. He graduated from art design major. He has been engaged in children's book art design for many years. He has participated in the design of more than 100 children's book bindings and drawn more than 1,000 illustrations. He has edited and published a number of early childhood art education books and has rich experience in the field of early childhood art education.

3. Activity review

(1) Activity background

(2) Warm-up and introduction

In this set of picture books, "Happy Blowing Bubbles" is selected as the main theme. At 1 p.m., an event notice will be posted in the parents' group in the community, and the children will be specially reminded to bring their bubble machines to participate. Based on past experience in story telling, a cheerful children's song "Dancing Doll and Bear" was chosen as the warm-up music, and soon the children gathered around. Then, lead them to play the game of large and small circles, holding hands to form a large circle, then gathering into small circles, and then spreading into large circles, and then continue to walk clockwise and counterclockwise, repeating this for three rounds , attracting children's attention. During this process, children gradually joined in, and the number soon approached 20, and the scene became more and more lively. There was even a mother who brought a large round bubble machine from home and placed it in the middle of the venue. The crystal clear bubbles under the sun made people feel beautiful.

(3) Picture book reading

Considering that there were many parents (8) present, during the story reading, it was specially reminded that this set of picture books is helpful for cultivating the baby's cognitive ability and imagination. and the value of creativity, suggesting directions for parents to refer to when choosing books for their children.

The whole story session completed the reading of a set of three picture books, but focused more on the interaction of the book "Happy Blowing Bubbles". During the storytelling process, bubble blowing is performed in an exaggerated way, guiding children to observe the colors and different patterns of bubbles, ask appropriate questions, and leave suspense at the end. Provide appropriate answers and guidance to children's questions, but don't get too hung up on details. When reading "Favorite Things", guide the children to talk about their favorite things. A 6-year-old girl said that she likes to lie on the grass and bask in the sun. Ha, this little girl and I have the same hobby~ The process control is quite good, and it is also recognized by parents.

(4) Expansion

There were four children at the scene who brought bubble machines, and our expansion also started around the bubble machine. I started with the large round bubble machine donated by my mother. As the dense bubbles flew into the air, I took out the prepared bubble machine to demonstrate the correct gameplay and guided the children to create their own bubbles. Indulge in hands-on skills and creativity while encouraging children to share the bubble machine. The children ran after the bubbles in a swarm, and I emphasized safety again and again in a loud voice. Under the sun, the children chased and played, and the atmosphere was very lively.

I found that for children at this age, little girls are very good at controlling bubble machines and making bubbles, and little boys are very good at chasing bubbles, which is also consistent with the physical and mental development characteristics of children of this age.

(5) Summary and reflection

a. "Piggy Huahua Cognitive Growth Picture Book" is suitable for children aged 0-3 years old, and most of the participants in this story session are 3-6 years old , the interactive process of story telling and reading is certainly lively, but the picture book itself has little inspiring effect on the children. We need to work harder on the subsequent selection of picture books, and the scene and target design need to be more precise.

b. It would be better to clearly explain the rules of extended activities before the activity begins (such as safety precautions). In addition, it is best to invite the parents nearby to participate in maintaining order, so as to avoid children swarming together. Scenes of scrambling and chasing. Fortunately, no accident occurred this time, and I reminded myself to pay attention to these details in the future.

c. At the beginning of the extension activity, I used my daughter’s bubble machine to demonstrate the correct gameplay, but it was snatched away by the children. My daughter once had an emotional breakdown because she didn’t have a bubble machine to play with, and she lay on the floor and acted like a fool. This also reminds me of Teacher Han’s motto in the intermediate class: Benefit others on top of benefiting your own children. It is best to prepare an extra toy later, so as not to annoy others and neglect your own child.

d. After the story-telling session, an old woman took her grandson and asked, "Have you remembered all the stories the teacher told?" Heart, let reading be reading. I hope that with the development of the times, we can become pure readers.
