Melody, tune, harmony, mode, timbre
1. Melody
The first element of music. Usually refers to an organized and rhythmic sequence of several musical sounds formed through artistic conception. According to a certain pitch, duration and volume, it has a single voice with logical factors. Melody is composed of many basic elements of music, such as mode, rhythm, beat, strength, timbre performance methods and so on.
2. Tune
The first element of music. It is a general term for singing, expressing certain musical thoughts or major melodies. Refers to the organized and rhythmic harmonious movement formed by several musical sounds through artistic conception.
3. Harmony
The pitch organization of multi-voice music is one of the basic means of music expression. As far as the general concept of composition theory is concerned, harmony is a technical category corresponding to counterpoint (commonly known as polyphony). In the music practice of more than one hundred years before the 19th century, harmony has always been regarded as the basis of counterpoint.
4. Mode
A number of musical tones with a single tone as the core and different pitches are organized together according to a certain interval relationship to form an organism, which is called mode.
Mode is a musical organizational structure created by human beings in their long-term musical practice. Usually, when expounding the concept of mode, the central tone of mode-the tonic tone is often taken as the starting point and the ending point, and the other tones are arranged in the form of scales in order of pitch, which is called mode scale.
5. timbre
Different vocalists have different timbre because of their different materials and structures. For example, pianos, violins and people make different sounds, and everyone makes different sounds. Therefore, timbre can be understood as the characteristics of sound.
