Creative background

JJ Lin wanted to create a song with a "very story", so he thought of Stefanie Sun. He believed that Stefanie Sun looked strong on the outside, but there must be a very fragile place in her heart, so he called and invited Stefanie Sun to write lyrics. The two discussed the concept of the song on the phone. JJ Lin told Stefanie Sun that he hoped the song would be titled "She Said".

A few days later, Stefanie Sun and JJ Lin met backstage at a commercial performance in mainland China, and Stefanie Sun heard the demo of the song for the first time. Less than two weeks later, Stefanie Sun sent the lyrics to JJ Lin, who personally served as the producer of the song.
