Gamelan: (Gamelan) is a national musical instrument with the longest history in Indonesia, and it is most famous for its ensemble in Bali and Java. The main musical instruments are piano, xylophone, drum, gong, bamboo flute, plucked string and stringed instrument, and singers can also be added to some tracks. Gamelan is the name of the whole team. "gamels" is interpreted as percussion in Indonesian, and the suffix "-an" is used to mark nouns, which together means percussion. Gamelan not only became the court and religious music in Indonesia, but also had a great influence on western music in the 2th century.

Artistic features: Gamelan is a multi-tone music composed of a variety of musical instruments and human voices. It is neither ensemble nor European harmony and counterpoint. Its music texture is complex and staggered, and it has a certain improvisation when playing, that is, improvisation is performed on the basis of the core melody. Gan Meilan's music mostly adopts two pentatonic scales, one with semitone and the other without semitone, but its musical system is different from the twelve-average law, which is a little close to the five-average law, and it is not very used to it at first hearing. When playing Gameland, we should also follow a standard called "Padaite", such as mode center tone, backbone tone, specific range, melody type and termination type. It is similar to the Lager in India, and it uses different Patets to express different emotions. Gan Meilan's music is generally considered to have the characteristics of "musical thinking" and "polyphonic stratification", and its musical motivation is often short and simple. However, in musical thinking, the repetitive development of different musical instruments leads to the musical characteristics of polyphony stratification, which is different from the development mode of western music.
