Fan Shi is also called Class 10, Fan Ji and Xie Fan. The band consists of about ten kinds of musical instruments, including wind instruments, stringed instruments and percussion instruments. It is a kind of folk music of the Han nationality. It was originally recorded by Gongchi notation. It can't be sung, but it can be recited. It is mainly played in a marching way, and is mainly used to congratulate weddings, birthday banquets, birthdays, and first-class happy events. In 2006, "Fan Shi Music (Hakka Fan Shi Music in West Fujian)" and "Fan Shi Music (Tea Pavilion Fan Shi Music)" declared by Longyan City, Fujian Province were selected into the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage lists, and the selected items were named "Fan Shi Music" and traditional music items, with the serial number of 75. In 2008, Fan Shi Music declared by Huai 'an City in Jiangsu Province, Fan Shi Music declared by Jiangdu City in Jiangsu Province, Fan Shi Music declared by Hangzhou City in Zhejiang Province, Fan Shi Music declared by Suichang County in Zhejiang Province and Fan Shi Music declared by Putian City in Fujian Province. "Fan Shi Music (Hainan Bayin Instrumental Music)" declared by Haikou City, Hainan Province was selected as the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list expansion projects. The project name is "Fan Shi Music" and the category number of traditional music projects is 75.
