ReStore Volunteer

(01) Volunteer Introduction:

The Habitat ReStore chain sells donated furniture, appliances and renovation materials at low prices to help low-income families build stable lives by providing them with affordable housing.

(02)Volunteer Responsibilities: Assist with pricing, sales, product assembly and maintenance, etc.

(03)Volunteer Requirements:

T Attend all necessary training courses Good at customer service

\/, have a good attitude and must be 16 years old or above (minors need to sign a consent form from their guardian)

(04) Volunteer time & location:

< p>4 hours shift (morning, lunch and evening)

LEAP After-School Support Project

01) Volunteer introduction:

The goal of LEAP After-school Support Program is to provide a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment for students aged 9-13 after-school space. Focus on developing independence, resilience and self-confidence.

(02)Volunteer Responsibilities:

Work with students aged 9-13 in learning and activities, lead and facilitate activities, demonstrate movements in sports activities to encourage, motivate and Build student confidence

(03) Volunteer requirements:

Good English communication skills and patience Demonstrate respect for people of other cultures Get 2 vaccinations

(04)Volunteer time & location:

Woodview Park Library, 16 Bradstock Road, North York, tentatively scheduled to be held every Wednesday and Thursday from 3:30 to 5:30 pm for 3 months

< p>Family ESL Volunteer Tutor

(01) Volunteer Introduction:

The ESL Volunteer Program helps newcomer clients who are unable to enter or participate in ESL classes due to childcare needs . This program will enable clients to improve their English language skills and build confidence.

02) Volunteer Responsibilities:

Communicate with clients and design courses, coach practical and daily language skills, and help build confidence in speaking, writing and listening. Complete and submit weekly logs< /p>

03) Volunteer requirements:

18 years old or above

ESL tutoring experience, good English proficiency,

responsibility, respect for cultural differences

(04) Volunteer time & location:

555 once a week for 2 hours, Monday to Friday, between 9 am and 5 pm in key communities in Toronto Home Visits

Reading Volunteers

01 Volunteer Introduction:

Help tutor children (grades 1 to 6) who have difficulty with reading or homework.

02 Volunteer Responsibilities:

Participate in various learning-related activities, occasionally help with homework, record children's progress, and meet with the same student for one hour every week

< p>03) Volunteer requirements:

Fluent and proficient in written and spoken English. Communicate well with children and adults. Able to serve as a mature reading and learning role model. Have essential teaching experience

04) Volunteer Time & Location: 6H Toronto Public Library 1 hour per week

Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday

Music Care Volunteer

01 )Volunteer introduction:

Changing the quality of residents’ lives through music, Music Care volunteers are a team that provides music performances for residents.

(02)Volunteer Responsibilities:

Play music, use any instrument or other equipment with respect, and serve as an ambassador for Copernicus Lodge and the community it serves

(03) Volunteer requirements:

Good communication skills

Playing instruments: piano, guitar, flute, harp, cello, etc.

Preferably able to speak Polish (Not required) Fully vaccinated if you are 14 years or older

(04) Volunteer time & location:

2 hours

Monday to Sunday
