Born in 1928. A native of Fucheng County, Hebei Province. Good at Chinese painting. Born into a family of calligraphers and painters, he began to study painting at the age of five.

Graduated from Jinan Art School in 1947.

In 1948, he was appointed as "Jinan Pictorial".

In 1949, he served as the American editor and reporter of "Hebei Daily". In the autumn of 1949, he entered the Central Academy of Fine Arts to study and was taught by masters such as Xu Beihong, Jiang Zhaohe and Luo Gongliu.

In 1950, he participated in the reform of old comic strips led by Cai Ruohong of the Ministry of Culture, and created a number of new comic strips such as "Xiao Erhei's Marriage", which served as a model for the country to introduce the new. After graduation, he served as editor and reviewer of the Central Ministry of Education, art editor and journalist of Workers' Publishing House and Workers' Daily, deputy director of Shandong Linyi Municipal Culture Bureau, and president of the Municipal Painting Academy.

In 1953, he participated in the Beijing Federation of Literary and Art Circles and made friends with masters such as Lao She, Mei Lanfang, and Wang Xuetao.

In the 1980s, he traveled to famous mountains and rivers in the north and south of the Yangtze River, and created a large number of works with thousands of hills and valleys in mind. And it is collected by many art galleries and museums.

In 1998, he prepared for an exhibition of calligraphy and painting by famous artists from both sides of the Taiwan Strait, which was successfully exhibited at the National Art Museum of China in Beijing in September. He published a long scroll of "Taishan Range Rover" and many other collections of paintings. First of its kind.
