"Listening to the Flute in Luocheng on a Spring Night" is a masterpiece by the Tang Dynasty poet Li Bai. This poem was written in the 22nd year (734) or the 23rd year (735) of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty. At that time, Li Bai was living in Luoyang. Because it was located in the Central Plains, with Youyan in the north and Wuyue in the south, the transportation was convenient. Music from all over the place gathered here, so it was easy to hear the flute sound from his hometown. This poem expresses his homesickness. The whole poem is tied to the word "wen", describing Li Bai's own process of hearing the flute and becoming emotional. Li Bai, also known as Taibai, also known as Qinglian Jushi, was a cheerful and generous man who liked to make friends. He loved drinking and composing poems. He was one of the Eight Immortals of Liquor. He was once appreciated by Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty, Li Longji, and served as an imperial envoy. He married the granddaughters of Prime Minister Xu Yushi and Zong Chuke.
