Location context
Xiamen is located at 24 23'-24 54' north latitude and117 53'-18 26' east longitude. It is located in the southeast coast of China, in the south of Fujian Province, connected with Zhangzhou and Quanzhou, and in the middle of the South Fujian Golden Triangle. Xiamen consists of Xiamen Island, Gulangyu Island and many small islands, reefs and Tongan, Jimei, Haicang, Xiang 'an, Xinglin Bay, Maluan Bay and Tongan Bay, with a land area of 1700.6 1 km2 and a sea area of about 390 km2.
Among them, Xiamen Island covers an area of 157.76 square kilometers (including Gulangyu Island), making it the fourth largest island in Fujian Province with a coastline of 234 kilometers.
