But Tigress tricked Xiangzi into "having it", and Xiangzi couldn't get rid of her and finally married her. Tigress died in childbirth, so did Joy, whom Xiangzi loved, and Xiangzi had no money. From then on, Xiangzi hated anyone. He got into the bad habit of eating, drinking, whoring and gambling. If you are not diligent in pulling a cart, don't pull it at all. Reading the article Gorky's Childhood today, I was infected by Gorky's attitude of forgetting everything and concentrating on reading.
When I read word by word carefully, it seems that I am reading with Gorky. He was so absorbed in reading that he forgot everything in the world. After reading this, I can't help but think of my previous reading. Whenever my parents buy me new books or borrow books by themselves, I feel like a duck to water and can't wait to read them. Although I like reading, I get little benefit from it. Why? Gorky read hungrily and forgot everything. Compared with himself, I just watch the excitement, pay attention to some main storylines, and never write reading notes. I have never understood the connotation of the article; I haven't paid attention to other people's works and good ways to write articles. Because I read a lot of books, and all of them are skimmed and swallowed, and I forget after reading them, which is very beneficial. I think Gorky can become a world writer because of his thirst for knowledge and persistence in reading. At the same time, Gorky's attitude of studying hard taught me to have a serious attitude in everything.
Carelessness is the root of failure, and seriousness is the secret of success. I have a deep understanding. I remember that I failed in the mid-term math exam this semester because of carelessness. I didn't deduct one point for the difficult question, and I deducted two points for the simple fill-in-the-blank question, because it was the root number 5 on the draft paper, and because it was wrongly written as the root number 3.
