Why doesn't Han become friends with Juyi?
Han Yu and Bai Juyi are two famous poets in the middle Tang Dynasty. They have many objective conditions for making friends: they are similar in age. Han Yu was born in 768 AD, and Bai Juyi was born in 772 AD, only four years apart. Dundee is near. Han Yu was a scholar in the eighth year of Zhenyuan (792), and Bai Juyi was a scholar in the sixteenth year of Zhenyuan (800), with a difference of only eight years. The official calendar is similar. They have all worked as officials in the capital and local governments, and their grades are roughly the same. Han Yu worked as an assistant minister of punishments, and Bai Juyi was an assistant minister of punishments (retired). The ideals are similar. Han Yu and Liu Zongyuan advocated the ancient prose movement, while Bai Juyi and Yuan Zhen launched the "New Yuefu" movement, all of which had the ideal of caring about reality and innovating poetry. Similar temperament. They are not lonely otaku who like quiet. They all like to make friends with talented people, especially those who fall in love with themselves. They all like to support their younger generation. They are surrounded by a large number of friends in poetry and prose. * * * The same idol. They are all admirers of Du Fu, deeply influenced by Du Fu in thought and art * * * with friends. Poet Zhang Ji is good friends with Han Yu and Bai Juyi, and Korean disciples Fan Zongshi, Li Ao and others also associate with Bai Juyi. Among them, Zhang Ji introduced the acquaintance of Han Yu and Bai Juyi. Had a relationship. Judging from several poems by Bai Juyi, he and Han Yu once visited Qujiang, a famous scenic spot in Chang 'an, and two private gardens, drinking together and reciting poems together ... But Han Yu and Bai Juyi are only superficial friendship after all, and have not become friends who respect and echo each other in poetry creation. Judging from the existing poems of Han Yu and Bai Juyi, Bai Juyi's poems related to Han Yu include: Bitter Rain, Drinking in Zhengjiachi, Long Time No See, Talking with Han Sheren about Yang She Pavilion, and Visiting Qujiang with dr. zhang. In addition, there are two lines in the poem "Year of the Year": "I have a white-headed ring, and I listened to assistant minister Han." However, in Han Yu's Li Chang Ji, only one poem related to Bai Juyi and Zhang Jiyou in Qujiang is preserved. We had contacts and sang songs together, but failed to deepen friendship, become close friends, spark literary sparks and achieve a literary story. This is a pity. Among the previous poets, Han Yu admired Li Bai and Du Fu the most. In a poem for Meng Jiao, he has two sentences: "I have read the poems of Li Bai and Du Fu in the past, and I wish I could not keep pace with them." As we all know, Li Bai and Du Fu were once on Song Liang East Road, and they were very close. As for "getting drunk in autumn and walking hand in hand with the sun" ("Living in Seclusion with Li Xun Ten"), they forged a profound friendship; Their poetry creation is full of romantic imagination and concern for reality, which complement each other and become the most brilliant "Gemini" in the history of China literature. However, Han Yu and Bai Juyi, the two most outstanding poets in the middle Tang Dynasty, missed the "Gemini". Meng Jiao, Han Yu, Yuan Zhen and Bai Juyi were the four most outstanding poets in the middle Tang Dynasty. They were divided into two schools, and Han Meng and Bai Yuan were equally famous. From the perspective of literary history, Meng Jiao and Yuan Zhen's poetic achievements are slightly inferior to those of Han Yu and Bai Juyi. If a "Bai Han" match is integrated, that is the real strong alliance. So, what caused the two best poets to miss each other and failed to become good friends? Some people may guess that they have differences in political stance and ideological character. Han He's Juyi is absolutely different in thought and character. For example, Han Yu is more concerned about his own experience and speaks for himself, while Bai Juyi is more concerned about the sufferings of the people and speaks for the poor people; Han Yugang is fierce, and Bai Juyi is gentle and calm. As far as I know, there is no evidence that there is a direct conflict between Han Yu and Bai Juyi in their political positions. In fact, both of them are careless and cherish and care for talents. There is a saying that Han Yu was demoted to Yangshan county magistrate for supervising the appointment of the suggestion, because he was careless in his work. The content of his blog was leaked by Liu Zongyuan and Liu Yuxi to Wang Wa, Wang and others. Han Yu also heard this statement, but he did not alienate and hate them, and still cared about them as always. There is a poem to prove it: "The same officials are all talented and partial to Liu Liu. Or worry about words and pass on hatred. The second son is not suitable, will it be suspected (no)? " Han Yu showed that he did not believe that Liu Zongyuan and Liu Yuxi had betrayed him. Later, Liu Zongyuan and Liu Yuxi were exiled to the south, and Han Yu worried that they were not acclimatized. There is a poem in Yong Zhen Xing, which says, "I have tasted the feelings of my colleagues, and what I see in the book is true." This love comes from a sincere heart and has no intention of gloating. After Liu Zongyuan's death, Han Yu also wrote the tablet of Luochi Temple for him. We know that both Liu Zongyuan and Wang advocated political reform. It can be seen that Korea has transcended its political stance by making friends. He is a scholar at heart, and his political stance is not as important as his literary talent. In contrast, Bai Juyi's poetic temperament is stronger than Han Yu's. His most famous works include Song of Eternal Sorrow, Pipa, Charcoal Man and Shang Yang Man. They are all new Yuefu poems that care about society and people. In fact, Bai Juyi's more works show the leisure in his life. He is a poet with a strong romantic temperament and celebrity style. I think Han Juyi's failure to become a literary master with homophones and mutual reflection is mainly due to Han Yu. Han Yu, who is four years older than Bai Juyi and eight years earlier than a scholar, has a strong sense of being a mentor and a literary leader. Zhao Yi, a Qing Dynasty man, once pointed out: "All those who entered the court, such as Zhang Ji, Li Ao, Huang Fushi, Jia Dao, Hou Xi, Liu Shiming, Zhang Che and Zhang Shu, were treated with courtesy by the younger generation in Changli. Although Lu Tong and Cui Lizhi are flat, Changli is not very important. " Meng Jiao is the most important poet in Han Yu's life. He once recommended Meng Jiao to Zheng Yuqing. He listed Meng Jiao after Chen Ziang, Li Bai and Du Fu when enumerating poets of past dynasties. He compared his relationship with Meng Jiao to Li Bai and Du Fu. He hoped that he and Meng Jiao would not be as rare as Li Bai and Du Fu. "I would like to turn into a cloud, and Dongye into a dragon." Yunlong follows me and never gives up. Meng Jiao was highly praised by Han Yu. Apart from Meng Jiao's similar poetic style, both of them had the characteristics of "hard words and appropriate words". I'm afraid Meng Jiao's encounter status is a more important factor. Meng Jiao can only be the object of Han Yu's sympathy and support, and can't be his strong competitor and equal to him. Bai Juyi kept several poems related to Han Yu in his collection of poems, while Han Yu kept only one work related to Bai Juyi in his own collection of poems. It seems that we can read the message that Han Yu did not take Bai Juyi too seriously. It should be noted that Bai Juyi is a child prodigy poet. At the age of sixteen, he wrote "Wandering Grass Across the Plain, Coming and Going with the Four Seasons". Wildfire never completely devoured them, and they grew taller again in the spring breeze ... "Such a good poem. Bai Juyi had been appreciated and praised by his predecessor Gu Kuang before he went to Chang 'an to take the imperial examination in his youth. In other words, it is impossible for Han Yu not to know Bai Juyi's poetic talent and title. Bai Juyi gave Zhang Ji a poem, in which there is such a poem: "Ask him where he is, where he travels, and talk about Han Sheren alone." Secondly, I am embarrassed that it came to me. " If this poem was written before Bai Juyi met Han Yu, it shows that Bai Juyi admired Han Yu; If Bai Juyi wrote this poem after knowing Han Yu, he probably felt Han Yu's indifference and arrogance towards himself. It is strange that a literary veteran who spared no effort to recommend and praise Meng Jiao and Jia Dao is indifferent to Bai Juyi.
