The epicenter was located in Xiang 'an Town, Wuwei County (31.2 north latitude, 117.77 east longitude) with a focal depth of 6 kilometers. According to preliminary understanding, the earthquake in the epicenter of Wuwei County was obvious, and some citizens in Wuhu, Tongling, Maanshan and Hefei felt the earthquake. There were no reports of house damage and casualties after the earthquake, and the people's production and living order were normal.
